On Board Fine Woodwork ::

Ken is a skilled master cabinetmaker and has taught wood classes at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University for more than 25 years. Using unusual woods and time honoured techniques Ken has created beautiful cabinetry and memento boxes throughout his career. His real passion though, is as a boat builder. This year he is happily building his third wooden sail boat. 

It all happens right here in the new wood-shop studio on Conrads Road.

Your Very Nature Fibre Arts Studio ::

For more than 20 years Katherine owned and was lead designer at The Flower Shop ltd. in downtown Halifax. Earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at NSCAD in 2015 was the beginning 

of a new focus in fibre and textiles. Currently she has found a passion creating small 

needle -felted sculptural pieces, has a daily stitching practice and

occasionally (still) dabbles in flowers.  Sharing and teaching these techniques 

will be a part of the new fiber-studio on Conrads Road.
